Merry Christimas!

Merry Christmas everyone! It's not said much anymore, which is a shame. It's always "Happy Holidays". That's great, and I understand why, but in our household it's Christmas so, henceforth we therefore wish it to be merry. And there you are.
Family was here, gifts were given, and many, MANY things will be removed from the house to make way for the gifts that were given. Good lord, it's no wonder there are folks out there with clutter that piles up to their ceilings!

One of the things we now have in our house is a brand new Konus Motormax-130 HM 5.1-inch f/15.4 Maksutov-Cassegrain reflector telescope. I'll be damned if I know how to use it, but we have one. I got it for Christina since she's been longing for one for a while. Little did I know that she meant that she wanted something that would magnify the moon a bit, instead we now have something that lets us see the individual rings of Saturn. Based on our trial run pointed a the moon, I believe it. I think I saw Buzz Aldrin's shoes up there! Anyway, this is a hobby she'll have to pick up because I'm bloody tapped out on that front. Between flying, sailing, photography, the kids, the Yacht Club, work, I'd say I'm full. Ah, who am I trying to kid... you know darn well I'll be hauling that 70lb monstrosity out of the house (it's actually quite good looking in reality) and looking for space trash out there every so often!

So that's it. The kids are happy, my wife is happy, I'm happy, my parent's are happy, life's pretty darn good. We're blessed with good health and great family & friends. What more could a man want on Christmas day. Here's to 2010!
