About Us

de Zafra literally translated from Spanish means "of Zafra". Our family originated from Zafra, a town located in the in Spanish Province of Badajoz. Apparently we had quite the royal presence way back when, though no one can tell me exactly how far back "when". All this is great for a sense of pride, but it doesn't amount to a hill of beans today I suppose. In the 1800's the family left Spain ending up in France and eventually here in the US.

Today we're a small family, with folks scattered all over the place. One thing is for certain however, you'll know us when you see us. We're the obsessively organized folks you see watching everyone else in the world act like lunatics. Other dead giveaways... a penchant for aviation, the military, and pretty much anything nautical. So say hello if you see us!
